Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the benefit of NWCare doctors treating patients in the comfort of their own rooms?

Many residents are unable to walk on their own and need specialized transportation vehicles and trained staff to transport them to outside appointments. Previously this responsibility fell on loving family members who would spend their precious time to take them to their medical appointments. Often these are family members with jobs and responsibilities of their own.  An NWCare contracted facility can free up that family member's precious time so they can now spend it meaningfully with just visiting with their loved ones doing the simple things they love.

  • Can you tell me more about your staff?

Our entire team is reliable, professional, caring, and kind. Our doctors always keep the patients well being as their top priority with a focus on excellence in care.

  • What services does NWCare offer?

NWCare provides quality on-site medical care services to residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities. We offer Podiatry, Dentistry, Optometry, Mental Health, Audiology, and Physical Therapy services.

  • What appointment times are available for scheduling?

Morning and afternoon appointments are available for block scheduling at facilities.  Some mid-day appointments are also available.

  • Can we pick the same provider to come every time?

NWCare providers are rigorously trained and well qualified in delivering care at nursing facilities. We strive for continuity of care, our documentation usually includes secure photographs in the medical record so the next provider can easily pick up where the previous one left off. However, to ensure adequate provider coverage across all facilities we are unable to guarantee the same provider for every visit, due to differing schedules, time conflicts, and previous engagements.  We will take provider requests into consideration.

  • How many providers does NWCare have?

Our numbers of providers are adequate to ensure timely care for our patients. We are always looking to expand our team with team-oriented, open-minded, flexible providers, if you are interested in joining our team, consider applying to become part of our team. Apply now.

  • Does NWCare provide access to electronic charts?

Absolutely! we use Athena-health for our Electronic medical records. They have a robust nationwide network for many providers. We can electronically “send” your chart to your other doctors or fax them records as well. We also have a patient portal that a patient or authorized representative can log into to look at their medical records.  You can even ask a question of your provider securely via the patient portal!
