Dr. Buksh is a passionate podiatrist, inventor, educator and lifelong scientist. He has developed a copyrighted wound care treatment algorithm. He is a certified fellow of the American Physicians for Wound Healing.
He completed his undergraduate education with a Bachelors in Anthropology at Queens College- City University of New York.
He attended medical school in Chicago at Rosalind Franklin University, William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He earned dual degrees of Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration and Doctor of Podiatric medicine.
He completed his 3 year Podiatry residency in Vermont’s rural Bennington. He trained at the local hospital and major metropolitan centers in the greater Albany NY as part of his well rounded education. The Southwestern Vermont Medical center residency program has a strong focus on surgical procedures along with the added credential of Rearfoot Reconstruction and Ankle surgery.
Dr. Buksh’s treatment philosophy is to first educate the patient about their medical condition in simple layman terms. He then develops treatment plans in conjunction with the patient starting with conservative care and gently move to surgical procedures if needed.
Dr. Buksh is also certified by the International Aesthetic Foot Society and is passionate about surgical techniques that result in minimal scarring, scar revisions, Botox treatments for hyperhydrosis, minimally invasive surgical techniques, joint sparing techniques, joint injections for arthritis, plantar fat pad loss augmentation and bespoke custom made orthotics.
He has many areas of podiatric interest including foot and ankle anatomy, surgical techniques and surgical instrument improvement and development.
Dr. Buksh also volunteers as a Podiatrist with the Oregon Medical Reserve Corps with both the Linn and Marion County MRC. He has completed his FEMA trainings of ICS 100, 200 for the Incident Command System and IS 700, 800 for the National Incident Management system.
You can catch him at farmers markets, restoring historical homes, fishing on the Columbia, exploring rural towns, antiquing, working on vintage cars and spending time with his family.
